Emily Jones is a photographer and creative project manager based in the Midlands. She has recently returned to Derby from studying in Coventry, where she achieved a First Class BA (Hons) Photography with International Enhancement at UEM, Madrid and has just finished an internship with GRAIN Projects. She is continuing to develop a career as an independent creative assistant and producer, in addition to working as Visitor Service Assistant at QUAD, Derby.
Emily’s photographic practice is based on the uses of personal photographs, exploring themes of memory, belonging, and familial relationships. By analysing the places and homes she grew up in, Emily uses domestic imagery to create a visual response to the relationships with her grandparents. Currently, she is undertaking the EMW Masterclass Programme in association with GRAIN and QUAD/FORMAT in order to develop her practice.
