Emily Jones is a photographer and Creative Arts Project Assistant based in the Midlands. She has recently returned to Derby from studying in Coventry, where she achieved a First Class BA (Hons) Photography with International Enhancement at UEM, Madrid. After completing her degree, Emily undertook an Internship with GRAIN Projects. She is continuing to develop a career as Freelance Creative Arts Project Assistant and Producer, in addition to working as Creative Wellbeing Assistant at QUAD, Derby.
Emily’s photographic practice is based on the uses of personal photographs, exploring themes of memory, belonging, and familial relationships. By analysing the places and homes she grew up in, Emily uses domestic imagery to create a visual response to the relationships with her grandparents. Emily has completed the East Meets West Masterclass Programme in association with GRAIN and QUAD/FORMAT in order to develop her practice.
